He is very paranoid about a specific person, and this actually leads to some of the scars on his body. (But he still enjoys it.)
Very annoying personality, if he likes you means he will get you more trouble, is not because he wants attention, he just likes to manipulate his toy.
His aether (Gold color) is tainted with something else, which enhances the magic power but also makes him wounds on the body whenever he uses it.

He is an adulterine child from the Ishgard nobles who famous for Alchemy and aether research. Mills is his original mother's last name and he got 'retrieved' by the family now. The family considers him as 'property' instead of a real human.
He is sent to take care of Ifan when he was imprisoned underground and as the 'media' for the family distribute illegal missions to Ifan. To him, Ifan is the only person that validates his own existence since no one cares and he is just one of the property for the family. On the other hand, Ifan pities about their own relationships - they could be friends, or even bothers if they are not living with such a situation.
The conflict between Wylfred and his family eventually comes. The family sent both of them to western cotheraous highland and trapped them in a cave for the experiment - an insane experiment that shifting dragon aether into their body, by merging each dragon's eyes into their body.
Wylfred is the one awake first, he kills everyone on site and kills all of his families in front of Ifan. Ifan almost stopped him by cutting off his neck (that's the scar he left on the neck now) but he couldn't - he pities this poor man with everything he's been treated. He chose to stay with him for many years to help him take over all the underground business from his family.
Wylfred is obsessed with Ifan because Ifan is the only one who can validate his existence, and the sharing of the same dragon aether makes him consider that Ifan can be only the person who understands him - they also sharing parts of the perceptions from it. Their relationships are not romantic but more like some kinship - bond with their miserable past. Every reaction or interaction from Ifan will make him feel himself is 'alive' - at least that's how he believes.
